The following rules and information have been developed in coordination with
other home owners and neighbors in the community and are intended to
maximize the enjoyment of your vacation while honoring the tranquil setting
that makes this area so special.
 | No Loud Behavior Guest acknowledges that
Casa de Olé is located in the exclusive private home development of
Playa La Jolla. As such, Guest shall not permit unlawful activities or
boisterous or rowdy and disruptive behavior to occur upon the Premises.
Activities known to be problems include, but are not limited to, loud
music, racing vehicles, etc. There should be no music, yelling, or
partying loud enough to be heard at other homes after 10 p.m.
|
 | No Smoking There is no smoking allowed in
the house or guest house at any time.
|
 | No Fireworks Fireworks
are not permitted in Playa La Jolla under any circumstances! There are
several reasons: these homes are powered by propane, a highly flammable
gas stored in outdoor tanks, there are thatched palapas all around, and
the nearest fire station is 25 minutes away! In addition, Mexican
fireworks are totally unpredictable. Please don’t even think about it!
|
 | No Beach Fires
Unfortunately, the heavy smoke of a beach fire seems to always make its
way into the neighbor's houses - which isn't good! In addition,
the beach gets polluted quickly with the fire remnants.
|
 | ATV rules Renters are not allowed to
bring ATV’s, off-road bikes, or motorized watercraft to the Playa La Jolla Community.
In addition, no
motorized vehicles are allowed on the Beach (this is Mexican Law).
|
 | Sand Dunes provide valuable protection for
the house from the sea winds. Consequently, it is VERY important that
you do not walk, let others play on, or ride vehicles on top of the
dunes. These activities will quickly destroy them.
|
 | Music A stereo system, complete with
Satellite Music and a CD player are provided for use in the living
room. There is no music allowed outside - the outside speakers have
been disabled. Also, please do not turn up the volume on the inside
speakers loud enough to be heard outside at any time – this is
considered a neighborhood nuisance.
|
 | Number of Guests Guest shall not allow
the number of guests and invitees of Guest to exceed at any time the
maximum number as outlined in their Rental Agreement Attachment “A” (10
in Main House, 4 in Guest House). Adults are considered anyone 13 years or older. Children are anyone from 1 – 12
years in age. Infants are those less than 1 year of age and count as ½
when calculating the total number of guests.
|
 | Check In & Check Out time
Check in is at 3:30pm. Check out is at 10:30am (unless
previous arrangements have been made.) Please advise Olé in advance if
you will be arriving late (i.e. after 5pm).
|
 | Pets
Guest shall not permit
any pets within the premises of Casa de Olé.
|
 | Energy Conservation
The homes in Playa La Jolla are “off grid”, meaning that each
house generates their own electricity using solar power and generator
backup. In addition, water and propane must be trucked in. You should be
conservation-minded so as to minimize stress on the systems as well as to
insure an adequate supply during your stay. Please make sure you
read the utilities information.
|
 | Maid Rosa
typically works 9am – 5pm Mon-Fri (including a 1 hour
lunch hour each day) and 9am to 12pm on Sat.
Her services to clean and
provide light cooking are included in your rental fee. If you'd like her to provide fully-prepared meals
(usually dinners), please understand that this often requires her to work
extra hours (or at a more frantic pace) for shopping and/or cooking in
addition to her regular duties.
Please work with her directly
to reimburse for any food she buys for you.
Rosa
takes great pride in the services she provides.
Although
she earns a weekly salary, she is very grateful for
your monetary
forms of appreciation!
|
 | Laundry
Service Please
note that while a complete set of bed linens and bath towels are provided
for each stay, laundry service is not. |
 | House Cleanliness Olé expects to provide normal cleaning of the property when guests
depart. The property should be able to available for the next renters
with approximately 5 hours of Rosa’s time. If guest leaves the property
significantly soiled, Olé will charge guest a minimum $100 cleaning fee
which will be deducted from the security deposit.
|
 | Departure Information
If Rosa is not on site when you depart, Olé
expects guests to leave the property fully secured
(i.e. all doors and windows locked) and all electrical appliances turned
off (except the fridges, of course). |
If necessary, Olé will use the feedback of the
security guards and the owners of neighboring villas, if present during
Guest’s visit, to assess whether Guest’s behavior was inappropriate.
If Guest and/or his/her invitees fail to
honor the rules as outlined above, Guest shall forfeit their security
deposit and/or in an extreme situation, be asked to leave.
